Venom 2: Let There Be Carnage is the spawn of excellent film-making and a viewer reception that exceeded expectations. The money that flooded in after the Venom’s release convinced the high men at SONY that a sequel was most expected.

The creators were up and about to deliver a sequel as soon as possible. It is a pity that even the most famous anti-hero from the spidy movies couldn’t escape the wrath of the pandemic.

Although there was a minor disagreement among fans about the sequel’s title. Some of them argued that it should be ‘Absolute Carnage’ going by the comics. However, this can be explained considering the fact that the movies were never meant to be a total adaptation of the comics. Here’s everything you need to know.

Venom 2 Release date: When is Venom Let There Be Carnage going to hit the screens?

Due to the coronavirus pandemic, the sequel’s release date has been delayed from the original schedule of October 2, 2020.

Venom 2 was all set to get on the box office by Morbius on July 31. However, for some reason the Jared Leto movie was postponed until March 19, 2021. And again there was a reschedule of date, so Venom: Let There Be Carnage, has been delayed to June 25, 2021 in the UK and US.

The creators were so sure that the filming which started in November 2019 was sort of finished by April 2020. Director Andy Serkis explained in May 2020 that the sequel’s editing was in progress when the lockdown was imposed. This, however, didn’t shake him from his dedication and he stated that the lockdown will help him spend more times with the visual effects.

Who’s in the cast of Venom 2 Let There Be Carnage?

The first and most obvious name that comes to our mind is Tom Hardy. Hardy is gonna get back to for the role of Eddie Brock and his alien alter ego. You cannot even imagine someone else playing Eddie/Venom. Michelle Williams will also get back to play Eddie Brock’s ex-wife Anne Weying.

Although it has not been confirmed, Naomie Harris will probably play the villain, Shriek, in the sequel. National treasure Stephen graham has also been confirmed to be a part of the cast although his role is yet to be confirmed.

There’s news that Killing Eve star Sean Delaney will be seen in a momentary role in Venom 2. He added that the role is really cool in terms of its tie to the story.

Marvel Studios boss Kevin Feige expressed his views on a possible Spiderman cameo in the sequel by saying that a crossover “seems likely at some point”.

Venom Let There Be Carnage : Plot

If the sequel follows suit, we know that Eddie Brock and the alien symbiote that accompanies him have developed a knack of mostly doing good and messing those people who are really bad. In the conclusion of Venom 1 the fans were promised with another symbiote that’ll show up in the sequel – Venom’s offspring, Carnage.

Not much has been revealed about the plot of Venom 2. Matt Tolmach, the producer on both Venom and Venom 2, told that the sequel will focus on the relationship between Eddie and Venom.
