Once a movie clings to the audience’s minds, the makers want to make another one of it. Sequels have become a common thing now. Sequels of successful films, to be precise. KGF: Chapter 1, when it released became one of the highest grossing movies. Infact it grossed over ₹250 crore, becoming the first Kannada movie to cross the ₹200 crore barrier. Its sequel, KGF 2 will soon hit the screens with a story to be continued.

Release date

KGF 2 was first expected to release on October 23rd but it was delayed due to the coronavirus pandemic and Sanjay Dutt’s ill health. The new release date is not yet confirmed.

The Cast Members of KGF 2: 

The core cast will remain same with some of the significant new characters this time. The major ones being,

  • Yash as Raja Krishnappa Bairya aka Rocky
  • Sanjay Dutt will be seen as Adheera
  • Raveena Tandon will play Ramika Sen
  • Srinidhi Shetty will play Reena Desai
  • Anant Nag will play Anand Ingalagi

Sanjay Dutt will be seen as the antagonist of the film. His is one of the most awaited characters of KGF: Chapter 2. Also, Raveena Tandon will be seen as the Prime Minister of India in 1981. However, Yash reprising his role as Rocky is the most exciting thing about the movie.

Trailer and the first look

The trailer of KGF: Chapter 2 is not yet out and the fans will have to wait for some time. However, posters have been revealed making the fans anxious. The very first poster cum look of the film was released on Sanjay Dutt’s 60th birthday, on 29th July 2020. The poster shows Sanjay Dutt with scary makeup and a strong appearance.

The Plot: What awaits us?

A lot of rumours surround the plot of KGF 2. One of them being that the film will end on a tragic note, with Rocky’s death. However, there has not been any revelation from the team’s side. Further, all of his enemies have an eye on him looking for a chance to corner him down.
This sequel will have less violent scenes as the major part of the audience comprises of teens. The makers don’t want to lose a large chunk of the audience.
