Harper Lee, the writer of this highly acclaimed book has written through the perspective of a six year old girl Scout. And, this is what adds uniqueness to it. It is set against the backdrop of 1930s Alabama where a black man Tom Robinson is falsely accused of raping a white woman. Atticus Finch, a white lawyer and father of Scout, stands for Tom Robinson.
